Khanmti is a small town well-know for the junction to Naga tribe. One can fly to Khanmti with limited flights or cruise up along the Chindwin River from Monwya. Khanmti is skipped from the destination until the Naga tribe is allowed to explore 2 years ago.

Naga is famous for head-hunting custom which had virtually died out nowadays. But, the majority of Naga still living in the jungle and earns their living by hunting and shifting cultivation. Only in rare occasion, the Naga appear in the nearest towns and villages where they sell what they have hunted and planted. Then, they go back to the forest. Theirs is a world of exclusion and delusion to travelers.
